Royal is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of RAD Office Tour, Austin’s first workplace design tour taking place in May 2017. Her background combines community impact, marketing and PR communications. Currently she consults on communication strategies for architecture, design and technology companies such as NBBJ, argodesign, CognitiveScale and the University of Texas at Austin’s Center for Integrated Design. Eager to support Austin’s creative industry, Royal also leads communications for Austin Design Week.

Previously at Jones-Dilworth, Inc., an emerging technology PR and marketing firm in Austin, Royal has over seven years of experience crafting and executing multi-faceted communication strategies for new ventures. Prior to JDI, she served the City of Austin helping drive investment opportunities to the city’s startup community. Her enthusiasm for design and community development has been a lifelong interest. She credits her mother, a visual artist, and step-father, a city manager, for sparking these combined interests in her at a young age. Royal holds a B.B.A. in Marketing from the University of Texas at Austin in Marketing.
