Sabina Bharwani is the Founder & CEO of Hello World, a K12 computer science enrichment program focused on building autonomous learners who approach and solve problems like engineers. The program’s mission is to empower and equip the next generation of innovators by growing true programming and computational capabilities that can be applied to any field.

Prior to this Sabina was the Managing Director of Innovation Strategy & Partnerships at Teach For America, where she managed a large fund focused on the rigorous application of improvement sciences and was charged with stewarding bottom-up and top-down innovations through rapid cycles of learning and iteration. Included in her portfolio were the oversight of three national programmatic priorities – teacher training and development, classroom education technology integration, and achieving broader student outcomes. Sabina and her team managed contracts with EdTech companies and non-profits focused on STEM, Common Core, blended learning models, culturally responsive teaching and student data products.

Sabina has experience teaching 4th-6th grade at a public elementary/middle school, where she implemented the successful use of EdTech tools at the classroom level and coached teachers on pedagogical and curricular practices across all grades and subject areas. She also completed a Fulbright scholarship at the BC Ministry of Education in Canada and Mexico’s Secretaría de Educación Pública (Secretariat of Public Education), where she led comparative quantitative research on intersections between student drop-out rates, attendance, test scores, family engagement and school leadership between indigenous and urban communities within respective countries. Sabina holds an M.P.P. from Harvard University, an M.S. in Education and Development from the Relay Graduate School of Education, and a B.S. in Mathematics from Rice University.
