Rosemary McGillan
Global Purpose Practice Lead, Porter Novelli
Rosy directs Porter Novelli’s global purpose practice. She specializes in developing strategies to change behavior around complex issues like chronic disease, advanced illness care and access issues. Her areas of focus include mental health and issues impacting older populations.
Rosy is the executive lead for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute’s COPD Learn More Breathe Better campaign, as well as several pharmaceutical clients in such areas as HIV and CNS. Her pharmaceutical industry experience extends 15 years and includes FDA approvals, issues management and advocacy. She directs PN’s work for the Coalition to Transform Advanced Care and led a multi-year initiative with the Administration on Aging, including development of Alzheimers.gov as part of the President’s National Alzheimer’s Action Plan. Rosy also led communications for the National SAFE KIDS Campaign’s transportation safety programs on behalf of GM and NHTSA.
She received her B.A. in political science from the University of North Carolina at Asheville, and her M.A. in journalism and public affairs from American University. She loves distance running and being outdoors.
